Last Weekend as a Family of Two

Adriane and I are taking the next natural step in our lives. From what I've seen our life is supposed to go in this order: Graduate college, get married, start working, buy a house, get some pets, get pregnant, start a blog and then have a baby. Since we are only days from having a baby I figured we better get started blogging!

We spent this weekend as our last being a family of two. We know that this Thursday, our life will change forever. While we are very excited, we wanted one last hoorah to celebrate how life has been for the last four years! Of course this means we should've gone hiking, running, and camping, but, that is a little difficult with Adriane being 38 weeks pregnant.

Before I get too far, I will give a baby update for everybody that doesn't know. Our new family member is starting off her life being very stubborn and refusing to get in the proper position. Actually she is laying completely sideways (called transverse by the professionals). It is impossible for Adriane to deliver a sideways baby naturally, so we have a C-Section scheduled for this Thursday (August 23rd) @ 7:15 am.

Since we couldn't make it to the mountains this weekend, we did the next best thing: eat and be lazy. We had a nice dinner at Texas Roadhouse, followed by a movie. We made it home around 9pm and Adriane was falling asleep while brushing her teeth and was tucked in by 9:30 pm. I had a date with John Madden. Not sure when I would next have a free hour, I tried to jam in a whole season of Madden into one night. Unfortunately I only made it until 2am but I accomplished one goal: Sore thumbs!

Sunday we slept in until 8am... played loud music while we cleaned the house... went to the mall for some shopping... and did some last minute chores. Overall, it was a great weekend.

So the room is ready:

Adriane is ready:

And the next time we update this blog we will be a family of three.
