Well, Adriane and I have discovered our new normal (at least for the time being). Both sets of parents have made it back home safely, Adriane is getting use to her new routine with Olivia, and I am back in the grind at work and trying to rush home to spend some time with my girls and pets. I left for my first business trip since Olivia was born and it was very tough. It is amazing how much can change when you miss just five days of your baby's life. When I came back from my week in Chicago, at first look, I could tell there something different about Olivia. I just couldn't figure out what. After watching Olivia's faces I narrowed it down to her eyes. They say babies eyes are constantly changing color so I figured that must be it. The next time Olivia and I had a session of studying each other's faces, I found my answer! She grew long, dark eye lashes! Hopefully a couple of the pictures in this blog show them off.
Olivia will be 2 months on Wednesday and the biggest change (besides the eyelashes and weight) are her facial expressions. She has started to smile and react to the looks we give her (she even tries to mimic the faces Adriane and I make at her). Below is a collection of the many faces of Olivia:
SMILEY
CURIOUS

GOOFY

PLAYFUL
DEEP IN THOUGHT
CONCERNED

SHY

And one just for the eyelashes!

Hello Olivia,
You look so wonderful! You already look so different than you did when I visited. Bet you'll be giggling real soon. Nana and Pop Pop love you and miss you. I send you lots of hugs, kisses and eskimo kisses. Keep your Mom and Dad on their toes, thats your mission in life! How are your pumpkins?
Love,
Nana
Well Olivia your other grandparents are impressed with your many looks as well. Your eyes are so expressive and so blue!! I guess grandma isn't going to get her brown-eyed baby. Maybe her other granddaughter will oblige her. We love you too.
I can't get over how beautiful she is!! She looks so cuddly and cute!!Love the lashes! :)
She is gorgeous! And so chubby (I can't seem to get any chub on my babies). I really just need to squeeze her.
