Getting to Know Olivia

Olivia has been changing so much these last couple of months. Since I stopped her baby book at one year, I wanted to jot down some recent milestones and figured the blog would be a good place to do so. Jamie and I brainstormed together and came up with the following (and, of course, what entry is complete without a few pictures!?!)...
Favorite Jokes (Olivia loves jokes. Every day she asks Dada for “more jokes”)

When asked, “What’s black and white and read all over?” Olivia quickly responds, “NEWSPAPER” and cracks up!

She also is getting close to understanding the concept of a knock-knock joke. It usually goes like this:
Knock Knock
Newspaper who?
No, Olivia – who’s there?
Grandpa.

Why did the chicken cross the road? Newspaper (see a pattern here?)

Favorite Books
“Red Sock Book” (Red Sox 101)
“Peek-a-Boo Book” (Bedtime Peek-a-Boo)
“Crayon Book” (The Crayon Box That Talked)

Parent Bragging Moments
Olivia has known all of her basic colors since about 13 months.
Olivia knows the majority of her letters.
Olivia is getting very close to counting to 10.

Sleeping Mates
Taggy
Bunny
Sleep sack

Favorite Toys
Busy Ball Bopper
Blocks
Sun Glasses

Favorite Unconventional Toys
Buckles
Hangers
Mama’s lotion and cream containers

Words (At this point Olivia is like a parrot. She says everything we say. Here are some of the impressive ones).
Constitutional Law
Sarbanes Oxley
Jason Varitek

Favorite Songs
Row, Row, Row Your Boat
Take Me Out to the Ball Game
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

Favorite Games
Hokey Pokey
Hide and Seek
I'm Gonna Get You (where she runs to Dada screaming, “I’m gonna get you” and when she gets to his leg he pick her up – upside down)
